Pre-capitular Assembly in Quezon City
Quezon City, Philippines. The Philippine Province celebrated its pre-capitular assembly from September 28-30, 2015 at the Claret Retreat House. The pre-capitular assembly was convoked with three  objectives, namely: to review and reflect on the Province’s mission in the life of the Church, to evaluate the commitments of the previous Provincial Chapter  and to know the issues  to be discussed in the upcoming XIV Provincial Chapter on February 22-27, 2016. It was attended by perpetually professed members coming from different missionary posts in the Philippines, Vietnam and Australia. Also present in the pre-capitular assembly was Fr. Leo M. Dalmao, CMF recently elected General Prefect of Formation, who expressed his gratitude to the Province for the opportunity to serve as major superior for almost 6 years. General Consultors Elected
Rome. We began the day with the Eucharistic celebration presided by the Superior General. In this Mass Fr. Mathew invited the participants to be internally serene, free and guided by the light of the Spirit of God, especially in the discernment they have to make to elect the consultors of the General Government. The Word of God, taken from the Gospel of St. Luke, led him to exhort the chapter members to be clear with the horizon of the Kingdom of God and the spirit of the beatitudes that orients the consecrated life. The central point of the morning session was the election of the consultors, according to the structure approved on September 7, last Monday. Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF: Newly Elected General Superior
Rome. During the morning session of 5 September 2015, Saturday,  the General Chapter elected Fr. Mathew Vattamattam CMF, as the 13th Superior General of the Congregation of the Claretian Missionaries. The day of election began at 7:00 hrs with the Eucharistic celebration. We invoked the light of the Holy Spirit in the Mass to guide this transcendental discernment for the Institute.The formal session in chapter hall began at 9:00 hrs and it was prolonged till 10:00 hrs, the moment in which, the absolute majority was obtained in the third voting. Fr. Josep M. Abella who moderated the session asked him, as per the custom, about his acceptance. Fr. Mathew asked for a few minutes to express his sentiments, beginning with the expression “We are missionaries” and referring to the availability of former Superior Generals, Frs. Gustavo Alonso, Aquilino Bocos and Josep M. Abella, and thus, he concluded accepting this great responsibility....

Meet Him in the Cloud
Quezon City, Philippines. One hundred fifty five youth and members of the Claretian Family of ASCLA East from Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines met in Quezon City Philippines to meet Jesus in the "cloud" last August 3 to 8, 2015 during the 1st ASCLA East Youth Gathering plus Claretian Family or the now commonly known as the 1st AEYG 2015 + CF. Delegates from ASCLA West, namely from Chennai Province and North East India also came to learn and be part of the experience. The Religious of Mary Immaculate Claretian Missionary Sisters also sent members from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, East Timor, Korea, Japan and the Philippines. The Missionary Sisters of St. Anthony Mary Claret also sent participants from Indonesia, Brazil and the Philippines. Lay people who are working with the Claretian institutions also joined the gathering making it more meaningful and more fruitful. The...
