On the second day of the 14th provincial chapter of the Philippine Province, the members moved to the small group discussion on governance and economy reports. Then the groups returned to the plenary for the reporting. A motion was raised by the chapter and was approved to postpone the sondeo in the morning to allow the members to discern the kind of leadership needed in the succeeding years responding to the call of the mission.
The first half of the afternoon session was spent on the response from the Provincial Council for the comments and clarifications of the reports presented, which was followed by an open discussion and evaluation on pertinent issues. Such questions/issues addressed by the Council members and later on clarified before the Chapter members for further deliberation. It was indeed an intense and yet a fruitful discussion and exchange of ideas. This was very helpful to the Province in affirming once more its commitment to the mission. Then chapter members approved to end the discussion and evaluation for the presentation of the PreCapitular documents. Fr. Arthur Teixeira, cmf., together with the entire Capitular Assembly expressed his heartfelt gratitude and recognition on the efforts of the current Provincial Council.
The rest of the afternoon was dedicated on the presentation of the PreCapitular document made and prepared by the PreCapitular Commission composed of Fr. Samuel Canilang, cmf, Fr. Anthony Carreon, cmf and Fr. Mauricio Ulep, cmf. Towards the end of the session, the Chapter President requested the entire assembly for a moment of silence which was dedicated for casting of the sondeo ballot.
The second day of the Provincial Chapter was culminated by the celebration of the Holy Mass presided by the Capitular members from Zamboanga and Tungawan communities.
